"Mommy, I need this Thomas hat!"
My little conductor
Sunday we had a relaxing day. We had a delicious steak dinner and brownie sundae's with Cam's family and had a great time being with everyone.
Monday morning Cameron took Andie fishing for the first time. She has been itching to use the Scooby-Doo fishing rod that she got for Christmas and she finally got to give it a whirl. She caught a little rainbow trout but wasn't patient enough to reel it in. After a few turns she yanked the rod and dragged the fish to shore. Cameron had her pose for a picture but the fish was flopping around and Andie kept bouncing the rod up and down hoping to get the fish to settle down, it did quite the opposite and ended up taking a good 3 mins for the picture to get taken. They both had a blast and Andie already is talking about when she gets to go fishing again.
In the afternoon we drove up the Canyon to Bridal Vail Falls, which was beautiful. The kids were sleeping so Cameron and I just sat and watched and took a drive through Vivian Park. We had never been there before, we had a great drive and are looking forward to going back through soon. Then we drove up to Heber Valley Railroad for "A Day Out with Thomas." Andie is very into trains (especially Thomas) right now and she had no idea where we were going. When we pulled up and she saw him it was pure BLISS! She was waving and yelling "I love you Thomas" over and over again. She kept saying, "Thomas is the best train EVER!" We walked around and enjoyed looking at the trains and the very overpriced toys. Andie ended up getting a Thomas backpack and Brady, well he got NOTHING!
On Saturday we went up to SLC to the Planetarium, which was really cool. Andie got some stars that glow in the dark for her bedroom and Brady, well he got nothing! We went to a restaurant that we saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives called 'Moochies and had Philly sandwiches, they were so delish! We did some shopping around, ended up buying NOTHING then headed out to dinner with my friend Kelly and her husband at Chili's.
